Why Do We Always End Up Here Together At The Party

September 9, 2010

What Happened To Us All. We All Used To Be So Nice. Why Do We Always End Up Here Together At The Party. I Remember Being A High-Schooler. Wrestling With Laughter On The Lawn. Braiding Dandelion Chains To Crown Lunch Hour Kings And Queens. There Was So Much Innocence Before Experience. We Get Old. You Can Only Stave Off The Heady Pleasures Of Simple Human Hedonism For So Long. We Get Lonely. Want To Hear That Reassuring Voice Say You Are Making The Right Decision So I Can Sleep At Night. I Did Not Inherit My Parents’ World And The Rules Make Me Uneasy. Things More Things More Commodities. You Are What You Consume. So Drink To Another Dead End Job. Light Your Spliff To Having Tastes But Not Means. Things To Bring You Down. Spend All Week Waiting For The Weekend. It Comes Bringing Other Things To Bring You Up And Ends Too Quickly Taking Your Money With It. Then Its Hello Hangover. Wake Up Monday Morning. Do It All Over Again. Until We Die.

Woah. Awesome portrait, kind of a downer post though! Be safe, be well, be happy; I miss you!

It’s just weird. I was doing a little facestalking and it turned out all those nice kids I knew from Catholic school had grown up, and become partykids. It’s not really supposed to be super depressing. It’s just about the feeling of mid20’s restlessness.
