These are just some visual notes I took at a theatre performance at Theatre Passe Muraille yesterday. I had the pleasure of catching the opening performance of Legoland last night, and it was absolutely hilarious & entertaining. Legoland follows the adventures of teenage misfits, Ezra & Penny Lamb- on a transamerican quest to redeem Penny’s love (a boy band heart throb turned gangsta rapper). The 2 man show uses few props to tell the foray of the Lamb siblings into Legoland- the name their hippy parents dubbed the world outside of the commune. Featuring puppets & ukulele musical numbers, what’s really interesting about this show is how effective the minimalist vaudeville style performance is at telling a story about our complicated modern world.

I highly recommend checking this out. @ Theatre Passe Muraille til April 13th.
